My name is Angela. I have been married to my best friend, Josh, since September 12, 2009. I still refer to us as newlyweds, and I totally plan on us acting like it for years to come. We are both very passionate people. We both like to be right all the time. We are working on that.
We met our sophomore year in college at Louisiana State University and became friends. Friendship turned into more, which eventually led to our can’t-live-without-the-other realization. (Read our dating story here.) We were married in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at a family member’s home. The ceremony and reception were perfect, and it was truly one of the best days of our lives. (Read all about our wedding here.)
Four months later, we found out we were pregnant with a little surprise (TA DAH!). We were living in Lafayette, Indiana at the time, and had planned on living there for a few more years. Our little surprise changed all of that. We decided to make the move back to Baton Rouge, LA, so that little surprise could grow up knowing his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and all things southern, of course.
On October 1, 2010, Jonah Stephen made his grand entrance and blessed us more than we could ever imagine. He is so sweet, so smart, and looks just like his daddy. He brings us joy and laughter on an hourly basis. It is kind of ridiculous. Celebrating his first year (you can see that here and here) and, now his second year, has been amazing.
Now backtrack a little to January of 2012, and we once again found out we were expecting. In April, we threw a very fun party and were surprised to see pink coming our way in August. Penelope Marie was born on August 15, 2012 (just shy of two years after Jonah) and once again we are blown away by how much we love our baby girl.
I love being a mommy. Josh loves being a daddy. We believe that family comes first. We believe that life is an adventure and is to be lived to the fullest. We believe in following Jesus with our whole heart. We believe in loving others.
Thanks for visiting. I am so happy you came by.
